144 Mhz Stacked / Phased Halo Antennas Experiment by M0MCX

Problem: How to design a relatively cheap but high(ish)-gain antenna system for horizontal SSB contest work. I bought 2 halo type antennas off Charles (Moonraker Antennas) for £12 each. Secured some 75 ohm coax for the phasing harness off Barry (M0DGQ) together with some very old N type connectors and plumbed it all together. Get the ladders out




Results are very promising demonstrating excellent gain over a vertical (comparing horizontal-to-horizontal reports)
